Tuesdays @ the Square is gearing up for a rocking summer!
This year, from 6-8 pm, Tuesdays will be activating the Central Park Square lawn next to Boese Bros with seven Tuesday evenings of live music- featuring classic New Mexican/Tejano, Folk, Blues, and more!
There is a beer garden and opportunities for picnicking. Some weeks will feature a theme and might have pop-up science fun or art-making opportunities.

CANDACE VARGAS & NORTHERN505 - 6/11
Candace Vargas is a twenty-two time award winner with the New Mexico Hispano Music Association. Candace Vargas is a two-time Grammy Award consideration as well as a 2019 Tejano Music Awards Nominee for Female Vocalist and Album Of the Year. She has been performing for over eighteen years has had the honor of touring all over the Mid-West and West Coast representing our New Mexico/Tejano music, culture, and traditions.
QUEMAZON COMBO - 6/18
Quemazon Combo of the Santa Fe Youth Symphony Association! Playing Jazzy tunes and funky music-- bring your dancing shoes for this one!
STANLIE KEE & STEP-IN - 6/25
Stanlie Kee and Step In are rooted in traditional blues structure. They bring a youthful interpretation to classic blues music that captures the native spirit while captivating audiences of all ages and backgrounds. This band will touch your soul with their fusion music.
BOX CANYON BARBIES - 7/9
Local musicians from Dixon, NM. Their sound is a fusion of alternative folk, country, and acoustic rock. They have been together for 3.5 years, and play regularly at Vivac Winery, Blue Heron Brewery, Taos farmers' market, and private events.
HEATHER & THE BAD BREAKS - 7/16
Locally beloved Swing, Jazz, and Blues band. Come out and enjoy STEM activities and dancing during this event as well which doubles as the closing party for ScienceFest.
BURQUE JAZZ BANDITS - 7/23
Based out of Albuquerque, NM, the Jazz Bandits bring you fun, danceable music inspired by 1920's-40's
How to enjoy-
Tuesdays @ the Square Concerts
The concerts are hosted from 6-8 pm most Tuesdays in June and July. These small, mid-week concerts are meant to activate downtown Los Alamos with music and community!
So here is how to enjoy yourself and have the best time.
1. Bring a friend (or just yourself!), a picnic blanket, and sunscreen. The music starts promptly at 6 p.m.
2. Visit our local restaurants and brewpubs nearby for a quick meal before, after, or during the concert!
