More People Downtown, More of the Time
Los Alamos MainStreet hosts several major community events in downtown Los Alamos. We believe that community-building events lead to better quality of life for the entire community. All events are FREE to the public.
Los Alamos ScienceFest+
July 6-11, 2021
ScienceFest features a week of interactive activities, competitions, speakers, tours, and exhibits to engage the public in Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math (STEAM) topics. In 2021 there will be even more channels in which to safely participate in engaging science events!
Fair & Rodeo Parade
August 13-15, 2021
The Los Alamos County Fair and Rodeo is a 3-day event. In normal times, the public would be encouraged to come downtown to enjoy the Arts & Crafts Fair and Rodeo Parade. The Cowboy Dinner & Dance would take place at the Posse Lodge and the Rodeo at the Brewer Arena, both on North Mesa. Details are still being determined for these 2021 activities, to make them safe for all.

Los Alamos MainStreet is a volunteer driven organization. Following the best practices as established by the National Trust for Historic Preservation, we have standing committees that implement all our projects. We invite you to join our volunteer corps, a wonderful group of individuals, students and
community leaders. Meet new friends, try out new skills and have fun as you help support the MainStreet District. Opportunities range from volunteering for specific events to joining one of our Creative District committees.
