Los Alamos MainStreet and Creative District hosts several major community events in downtown Los Alamos. We believe that community-building events lead to better quality of life for the entire community. All events are FREE to the public.
Tuesdays @ the Square
Tuesdays in June and July 2026
Presented by Los Alamos MainStreet & Creative District, generously sponsored by Zia Credit Union, and produced by Live in Los Alamos, Tuesdays @ the Square is gearing up for a rocking summer.
This year, from 6-8 pm, Tuesdays will be activating the Central Park Square lawn next to Boese Bros with seven Tuesday evenings of live music, spanning rock, jazz, blues, and more.
There is a beer garden and opportunities for picnicking. Some weeks will feature a theme and might have pop-up science fun or art making opportunities.
Los Alamos ScienceFest
September 18-26, 2026
ScienceFest features a week of interactive activities, competitions, speakers, tours, and exhibits to engage the public in Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math (STEAM) topics. Participate in the featured "Discovery Day" event at Ashley Pond Park - fun for all ages with STEAM booths, live music, food vendors and more!

Los Alamos MainStreet & Creative District is a volunteer-driven organization. Following the best practices as established by the National Trust for Historic Preservation, we have standing committees that implement all our projects. We invite you to join our volunteer corps, a wonderful group of individuals, students, and community leaders. Meet new friends, try out new skills, and have fun as you help support the MainStreet District. Opportunities range from volunteering for specific events to joining one of our planning committees.
