Metamorphosis asks artists to take on "change" as the watchword of the season with the colorful transformation of the mountains and in celebration of the 100th anniversary of Kafka's “Metamorphosis”.

"Stories From Home", Safos Dance Theater

Presented by the Los Alamos Arts Council “Stories From Home” is a series of dances embodying the oral traditions of Nuevomexicano, Chicano, and Mexican American communities in the American Southwest. Choreographer Yvonne Montoya and an all-Mexican American cast of dancers, draw upon personal histories as well as ancestral knowledge, including stories from Montoya’s great-grandmother, grandmother, great-aunts, and father. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. with a silent auction in the lobby of the DSA.

LAAC: Fall Arts & Crafts Fair

The Los Alamos Arts Council will host 50+ artisans on October 5th for our annual fall craft fair. This event is free to the public and is always a fun way to kick off the holiday shopping season.
Kids Art Jam with Tracy Bailey

Kids 8-14 are welcome to drop in every Saturday morning to draw with professional comic artist Tracy Bailey.

For families with children ages 0-7, come experience the fun of music, stories, movement, and play with educator Madeline Thibodeaux.
Dances of India presents "The Little Indian Mermaid"

The show will feature students of The Family YMCA Kathak program, and guest dancers and actors from the Los Alamos community. No tickets are required, but donations are welcome. This year, all proceeds from the show will go to the Y Latin America’s program for youth mental health, ELEVA! Indian snacks will be available for sale during intermission.

Join the Los Alamos Community Foundation for Mental Health Awareness Month to paint positive messages and encourage self-care. Painting is a great mental health tool and way to express yourself. Join us in spreading a message of hope! Free: Paint and other supplies will be provided.
