Jacquelyn Connolly

Executive Director, Los Alamos MainStreet and Creative District 

Hailing from Denver, she previously worked as a curator for the Denver International Airport Art Program and the Emmanuel Gallery at the University of Colorado at Denver. Prior to that, she worked as a public art administrator for Creative Colorado (Colorado’s State Arts Agency) and the City of Denver. Through her business as an independent arts and project management consultant, Jacquelyn’s experience as an arts administrator brought together artists, the community, businesses, and local government. Organizing events, exhibitions, and public art projects are her specialty. After relocating to Los Alamos in 2018 with her husband and three children, Connolly joined several boards and organizations to learn more about the community and get involved locally. A graduate of the 2023 Los Alamos Leadership Class Currently, she is currently the Vice President of the New Mexico Coalition MainStreet Communities Board.

Alison Watkins

Event Manager

A native of Los Alamos, Alison Watkins (nee Honig) brings her experience in networking and knowledge of local community organizations to the Event Manager position at Los Alamos MainStreet & Creative District. Alison enjoys bringing people together and providing a welcoming environment for people to share ideas, learn new things, and make connections. She has event planning experience from her time at the Los Alamos Historical Society as well as at the Vietnam Center and Archive at Texas Tech University. Alison holds a B.A. in history from Texas Tech University as well as a paralegal certificate. After spending 17 years in Texas, she and her husband moved back to Los Alamos in 2011 to raise their 3 boys (now 19, 16, & 10). Most of her free time is spent at their sports and activities, or in her adult ballet classes and performances.

Alice Holtzclaw

Associate Manager of Business Engagement, projectY cowork

After a year and a half managing projectY cowork, Alice is excited to bring the coworking space with her to join the MainStreet team while she continues to deepen her ties with the business community. With a background in international relations and politics from Miami University (Ohio, not Florida), she has spent her time at LACDC applying diplomacy principles to local economic projects. Alice is a firm believer that big ideas are made possible through shared legwork, and she specializes in building relationships and managing projects of all sizes. Having lived in Oregon, California, Ohio, Italy, and Germany, Alice moved to New Mexico in 2022 with her parents and two dogs to start her newest adventure. When not at work, she enjoys drawing, reading, and traveling as much as she can.
